Adrian Greer

MR ADRIAN GREER

Adrian Greer worked for the British Council from 1984-2019, a period which included twelve years on the Executive Board, most recently as Chief Operating Officer.  More than half of his time with the British Council was spent living and working overseas; in Sub Saharan Africa, Eastern Europe and East Asia. In 2004 he was awarded a CMG for his work in Russia. 

A qualified accountant he began his career with the National Audit Office, working in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Since 2016 Adrian has been a lay member of Court of the University of St Andrews, from which he is also a graduate. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a keen runner and swimmer. Adrian lives with his wife Diana in London and has four grown-up children.
