GUILDHALL SCHOOL OF MUSIC AND DRAMA MARSHALL SCHOLARSHIPS
This Scholarship is for Graduate Study in any subject at either Masters or Doctoral level at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and will be for up to two years (with a possibility of a third year for doctoral studies). If awarded a Guildhall School of Music and Drama Marshall Scholarship candidates would be expected to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

General information
Ranked as the UK’s top conservatoire for Music in the Guardian University Guide 2019 , and selected as one of the top ten performing arts institutions in the world (QS World University Rankings 2019), the School is a global leader of creative and professional practice which promotes innovation, experiment and research.
Founded in 1880 and situated in the heart of the City of London, the School moved to its present premises in the Barbican in 1977 solidifying a unique link with both Europe's largest arts and conference centre, the Barbican Centre, and the world-class London Symphony Orchestra. Students experience working in a professional context to professional standards with an exemplary pool of outstanding artists who work with us as directors, conductors, coaches and tutors. The School's graduates consistently succeed at the highest levels of their chosen profession.
Of the 950 students across our programmes, 40 per cent come from outside Britain, representing more than 70 nationalities and bringing a truly global outlook and relevance to what we do. We enjoy some of the best facilities for training in performance arts and production anywhere in the world. The completion of our Milton Court site adds a world-class concert hall, two theatres, studios and large rehearsal rooms to our facilities at Silk Street, within the Barbican complex.
Alumni of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama are at the heart of the performing arts in London, the UK and on the global stage. Their names are pre-eminent in the worlds of music (including opera, jazz, music therapy, and education and outreach work), drama (stage, screen, TV and radio), and technical theatre.
