Reylon Yount, from San Francisco, CA, recently graduated from Harvard with a B.A. in Environmental Science and Public Policy. He spent a semester conducting sustainability research in Australia and has worked for environmental NGOs in the U.S. and China. At Harvard, Reylon was elected first marshal of his graduating class, served as captain of the Chinese martial arts team, and initiated an educational performing arts series for the local community. Having played the yangqin for fourteen years, he’s performed with YoYo Ma's Silk Road Ensemble and appeared on their Grammy-winning album, "Sing Me Home." Reylon hopes to pursue a career in the arts to help create the cultural conditions necessary to build sustainable communities and will pursue an MA in Music in Development at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.
