Nitheyaa Shree, a Neuroscience major and Chemistry minor, is a Presidential Scholar at Georgia State University, Honors College. While at GSU, she was named a 2019 Goldwater Scholar, helped establish the Undergraduate Research Seminar Series, and served as the Vice President and Treasurer of GSU Nu Rho Psi. Apart from academics, Nitheyaa is a semi-professional Carnatic musician who plays six instruments. She regularly performs duet veena and vocal concerts with her sister under the title “Atlanta Sisters.” Nitheyaa will pursue a PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Bristol, with a long-term goal of developing therapeutics to treat neurodegenerative disorders.
