Mary Caroline Yuk is a graduate from The University of Alabama where she established interests in hearing healthcare disparities and gerontology, as well as neurobiology and biochemistry. Her work on a rural mobile audiology clinic inspired the first children’s hearing education program in Alabama and secured grants for further accessibility efforts. She has conducted neuroscience research at University of Michigan’s Kresge Hearing Research Institute, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and Harvard Medical School. As the first deaf Marshall Scholar, Caroline plans to pursue the combination of Neuroscience and Audiological Science at University of Oxford and University College London.
