Ann Monk majored in Global Islamic Studies and International Relations with a minor in Arabic. While at Connecticut College, she founded the Student Refugee Alliance, tutored Syrian refugees, and served as a representative on the Refugee Relief and Education Committee. An advocate of refugees’ right to a quality education, Ann will pursue a master’s degree in migration and diaspora studies from SOAS, then she will study international education and development at University College London. She has studied or worked at schools in seven countries and is excited to learn about refugee education in London!
