Lady Sarah Wolffe
Sarah P.L. Wolffe (The Hon Lady Wolffe) is a Nominated Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities, as well as an Honorary Professor (at the Law School), both at the University of Edinburgh. She was formerly a Senator of the College of Justice (Scotland’s Supreme Courts), (equivalent of a High Court judge), sitting principally as a commercial judge (the first woman appointed to that position). Prior to her judicial career, Sarah was an Advocate and a Queen’s Counsel at the Scots bar, specialising in commercial and public law. Sarah’s other current positions include: General Council Assessor on the Court of Edinburgh University, Senior Legal Chair of the Disciplinary Tribunals of the Financial Reporting Council, Honorary President of The Stair Society, President, The Court of the Scottish Arbitration Centre, and Member of the Executive of CERIL (Conference on European Restructuring and Insolvency Law).
