Young Joon Kim
Columbia University
Joon graduated from Columbia University studying biology and statistics. As a 2019 Goldwater Scholar, he has conducted research in cancer therapeutics and is currently working in computational neuroscience. His work at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Dana Farber Cancer Institute has produced five publications, including a first-author review and manuscripts in Nature Medicine and Cancer Cell. He was founding CEO of Kenzo Labs, a funded anti-opioid venture, editor-in-chief of the Columbia Science Review, teaching assistant for the biology department, among other positions. He enjoys cross-country racing and table tennis as a board member of the Columbia intramural teams.
