Steven Truong graduated from MIT with a double-major in Biological Engineering and Writing. For his commitment to diabetes research, he was named a 2019 Goldwater Scholar. In the UK, Steven plans to continue his work on a study that he co-founded investigating the genetic basis of type 2 diabetes in Vietnamese people, which has been funded by MIT and the National Foundation for Science Technology and Development of Vietnam. As a Marshall Scholar, Steven will read for an MPhil in Computational Biology at the University of Cambridge and an MSc in Integrated Immunology at the University of Oxford.
