Phoenix Rice-Johnson
Phoenix Rice-Johnson works at the Brennan Center for Justice on the Voting Rights and Elections Team. Prior to joining the Brennan Center, Phoenix interned at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s Enforcement Branch, supporting their work protecting consumers from unfair and deceptive practices. She also served as a White House intern in the Office of Presidential Correspondence and as an intern with the Wisconsin Voter Expansion Project.
Phoenix is originally from Hawaii and attended college at the University of Wisconsin, where she earned a Truman Scholarship and graduated with comprehensive honors in Political Science. In college, Phoenix served as the Chair of the College Democrats of Wisconsin and the Public Defender of her university’s student government.
