Michael studied Government and Economics at Harvard University, graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 2014. He is interested in how innovative policy can be used to improve social mobility, and has explored this through work at the White House National Economic Council and through internships at Social Finance in London and Instiglio in Colombia. In the year after graduation, he worked as a Research Assistant to Professors Raj Chetty and Nathaniel Hendren at the Harvard Department of Economics, before working as Chief of Staff to a new civic enterprise based in Washington DC. Michael will study Inequality at the London School of Economics and Comparative Social Policy at the University of Oxford.
