Matthew Cavuto, from Skillman, New Jersey, is majoring in Mechanical Engineering and concentrating in Biomechanics and Biomedical Devices at MIT.  Since working with amputees in a rehabilitation hospital, Matthew has always had a special interest in prosthetic and assistive technologies.  In addition to designing a patent pending prosthetic device for the developing world, Matthew is a varsity fencer and competitive ballroom dancer for MIT. As a Marshall Scholar, Matthew will first earn a degree Biomedical Engineering at Imperial College London, studying prosthetic neurotechnology, before heading to University of Cambridge, where he will lead a project intent on designing an exoskeleton to combat paralysis
