Madeline Fox will graduate with a Bachelor of Philosophy degree from the University of Pittsburgh, where she majors in Literature, Classics, and Philosophy. Her research focuses thus far have been Chaucer and Gregorian chant. Her goal for her future work is to study how the Middle Ages manipulated the culture of antiquity and thus interrogated prevailing social, political, religious, and gendered attitudes. Fox aims to showcase historical representations of gender and draw connections to the way we view gender today. As a Marshall Scholar, Fox will earn her MA at the University of York in Medieval Literatures and Languages.
