Kayla T. Matteucci is a public policy researcher focused on reducing existential threats to humanity. She is a Visiting Scholar at Cambridge’s Centre for the Study of Existential Risk. Previously, Kayla was the 2019 recipient of the Fulbright United Kingdom Open Award, collaborating with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office as a member of several UK diplomatic delegations. She conducted research at Sandia National Laboratories and the United Nations, in addition to serving as the 2018 James C. Gaither Junior Fellow in Nuclear Policy at the Carnegie Endowment. In her free time, Kayla is a jazz and blues keyboardist.
