George Anthony Pratt
George Pratt, from Jacksonville, Florida, is currently studying History and Religion at Morehouse College. George was selected as a 2021-2022 Luard Morse Scholar by the English-Speaking Union, studying sociology and religion for a semester abroad at the University of Manchester. He won the famed Otis Moss Oratorical Competition and recently elected to Phi Beta Kappa at Morehouse College. George is also a contributing writer to The Christian Recorder, the oldest continuously published African American periodical and is founding executive director of HouseCorps, a social justice-centered initiative in the Andrew Young Center for Global Leadership at Morehouse College. As a Marshall Scholar, George desires to enter the professorate, having a lifelong call to a vocation of teaching and research rooted in a liberatory ethic of radical love by pursuing an MPhil in Theology (Christian Ethics) at the University of Oxford.
