Daniel Chen
Daniel Chen, from Sammamish, Washington, is currently studying Microbiology and Informatics (Date Science) at the University of Washington in Seattle. Daniel has done extensive research for COVID-19 including investigating T and B cell behaviors and autoimmune patients at the Institute of Systems Biology Health Lab. He co-first-authored a paper in cell on long COVID, showcasing his undergraduate work and providing actionable therapeutic insights for long COVID. He aspires to be an academic-medicine professor that leverages computation to identify clinically actionable therapeutics for autoimmune/autoinflammatory diseases and practices in-clinic to directly treat patients.
He plans to continue his studies by attending the University of Cambridge obtaining an MPhil in Computational Biology.
