Bianca Lepe

Bianca Lepe graduated from the California Institute of Technology with a degree in Bioengineering and Business as a Questbridge scholar. At Caltech, she conducted research in immunology, in synthetic chemistry, and in synthetic biology. Her synthetic biology research involved introducing a non-native feedback system into E coli for the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) competition, in which her team received a bronze medal. She has served on numerous committees at Caltech and was awarded the Caltech Dean’s Cup for 2015. As a Marshall scholar, Bianca will pursue an MSc in Systems and Synthetic Biology at the University of Edinburgh.
