Bérénice graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in English and Comparative Literature. She studies the literature and works of Latin America, with a focus on Haiti. Bérénice has worked as a Research Associate at the Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Columbia University helping to create their LibGuide for African-American and African Diaspora Studies. She was also Research Assistant to Dr. Farah Jasmine Griffin, the Inaugural Chair of the African-American and African Diaspora Studies Department at Columbia. As a Marshall Scholar, she plans to pursue an MSc in Latin American Studies and an MSc in Comparative Social Policy at Oxford.
