Bayan Galal
Bayan Galal, from Prospect, Connecticut, is double majoring in Molecular, Cellular Development Biology and Global Affairs and minoring in Global Health Studies at Yale University. She has a strong interest in the intersection between politics and healthcare. Bayan served as the Yale College Council President and was the Ivy League’s first Muslim and first Arab Student Body President. She has interned for the International Rescue Committee, the Council on Foreign Relations, and Save the Children; volunteered as a Patient Care Coordinator at the HAVEN Free Clinic and as an EMT. She has worked as a research assistant with both the Yale Schools of Medicine and Public Health. Bayan plans to pursue an MSc degree in International Health and Tropical Medicine at the University of Oxford before eventually attending medical school to become a practicing physician.
