Anu Ramachandran, originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern California with degrees in neuroscience and philosophy and is pursuing her medical degree at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Her interests include medical anthropology and health systems, with a focus on refugees and migrant populations. She has conducted research in Brazil and Tanzania and currently volunteers connecting Baltimore refugees to health services. She plans to study public health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine with the goal of empowering underserved communities as a physician and global health advocate.
