Anna Landre studies the intersections of disability studies and international development in Latin America, Africa, and the United States. A disability activist and wheelchair user herself, she graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, where she was elected twice to serve as an Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner to the District government. Anna is originally from Howell, New Jersey and is a 2020 Truman Scholar and a 2019 Critical Language Scholar for Brazilian Portuguese. Her advocacy and research has been featured in outlets including the Washington Post, Forbes, Vogue, and others.
