Amber Stanford is a graduate of Georgetown University, where she studied government and theology. She is fascinated by the ways in which religions and governments interact with power structures in society. Amber’s research focuses on how the legacy of the transatlantic slave trade impacted 20th-century Black religious movements. In her free time, she enjoys reading, solving crossword puzzles, and bragging about the greatness of Old Bay seasoning. As a Marshall Scholar, Amber will study history at the University of Bristol and religion at Durham University.
