Stanford University
A proud Southside Chicago native, Alejandro Ruizesparza will be graduating from Stanford University with a degree in psychology and a Japanese language minor. As a long-time research assistant at Stanford’s “Culture and Emotion Lab,” Alejandro aids in research that analyzes cultural differences in idealized emotional states and their effects on social judgments. He will pursue an MSc in Sociology followed by an MSc in Social Statistics at Glasgow University. During his Marshall experience he hopes to further understand social and psychological influences shaping cross-cultural conflict and discover tools for constructing practical, empirically validated social interventions.
