A’dryanna Jenkins is a graduating senior at Penn State University, where she majored in Immunology & Infectious Diseases and completed her Honors thesis on paramyxovirus budding. In addition to her studies, A’dryanna devoted her undergraduate career to developing initiatives that lessen barriers for young scholars with non traditional backgrounds. She will spend her year as a Marshall Scholar investigating the connection between immunology, inflammation, and cancer at the University of Cambridge. After her time in the UK, A’dryanna will pursue a combined MD/PhD degree to begin combating disparities that exist in both medicine and research.
