Jaeah Kim
Jaeah Kim, from New York City, is a senior at Stanford University majoring in Biology. She has conducted neuroscience research focused on developing bioengineered proteins for neural modulation, investigating neural activity in Alzheimer's disease, and studying how social behavior is encoded in the brain. Her work has been published in Cell, and she has been recognized as a Goldwater Scholar. Beyond her research pursuits, Jaeah has won awards for her healthcare innovation projects, including a patent-pending surgical device, an app for real-time monitoring of infections, and a novel method to improve stroke triage accuracy. In her free time, Jaeah is a ballroom dancer, freestyle wrestler, and a hospice volunteer, supporting patients in their final stage of life.
As a Marshall Scholar, Jaeah will pursue an MPhil in Applied Digital Health at the University of Oxford and an MSc in Biomedical Innovation at the University of Birmingham.
