Michael Lundgren, from Bend, Oregon, is pursuing a degree in Regional and Comparative Studies: Asia and Latin America at Georgetown University. Michael was named a 2019-2020 Lannan Fellow at Georgetown, and has worked with PROMO Missouri to advocate for LGBTQ+ rights in Missouri, and was named to the inaugural “Path to Power” cohort for LGBTQ+ leaders in Missouri. He is currently working as a research assistant for projects related to global early childhood and Oregon educational policy.
He plans to continue his studies by obtaining an MSc in in Child Development and Education at the University of Oxford, followed by an MSc in Education, Public Policy and Equity at the University of Glasgow. He plans to lead policy development and political advocacy efforts to create systems that promote child development and family wellbeing in communities across the United States.
