Sarah Marze, from Canton, Connecticut, is studying Music Composition and Vocal Performance at the University of Connecticut. In addition to being a vocalist and conductor, Sarah is the president and co-founder of the UConn Composer-Ensemble Collaboration. Sarah is passionate about creative speech, having completed two University research grants to develop new art song collections. Her greatest joy has been composing and premiering over twenty new works for her colleagues, University ensembles and professional musician while being a student. As a Marshall Scholar, Sarah looks forward to continuing her practice of creating meaningful musical collaborations and accessible classical music experiences with her studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
