Sarah Marze, from Canton, Connecticut, is studying Music Composition and Vocal Performance at the University of Connecticut. In addition to being a vocalist and conductor, Sarah is the co-founder of the UConn Composer-Ensemble Collaboration. Sarah is passionate about creative research, having completed three University research grants to develop new art song collections and a chamber opera. Her greatest joy has been composing and premiering over twenty new works for her colleagues, University ensembles and professional musicians while being a student. As a Marshall Scholar, Sarah looks forward to continuing her practice of creating meaningful musical collaborations and accessible classical music while pursuing an MMus in Music Composition at the Royal Academy of Music.
