Banks, from Phenix City, Alabama, is currently obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Political Science while concurrently attaining a master’s in Public Administration with a graduate certificate in Science Policy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Banks was a field organizer for Randall Woodfin’s Mayoral campaign in 2021, canvassing 3,187 doors, completed 678 volunteer recruitment calls, and managed a diverse set of volunteers in direct voter contact outreach. Most recently, Banks was selected to discuss global health strategies in preventative care and health equity alongside his colleagues at the American Public Health Association’s 150th Annual Conference in Boston. Banks currently serves on the Civic Design Team for the City of Birmingham Mayor’s Office and has aided the Civic Design Principal in the research and implementation of key policies for the Mayor’s Vision 2025 platform. As a Marshall Scholar, Banks plans to study a MSc in Urban Design and City Planning at University College London.
