Welcome to Bradford, home to the University of Bradford

Marshall Scholarships August 4, 2026

Welcome to the City of Bradford.

Situated in the North of England and a short distance from Leeds, Manchester and York, the City of Bradford is a city rich in history, culture and experience. The industrial revolution transformed Bradford from a rural market town to the “wool” capital of the world; today over 70% of the Bradford district is green, clean open space and it has one of the fastest growing and dynamic workforces, a high proportion of self-employed and new business start-ups and a young growing population.

In 2025 Bradford was fortunate enough to be named the city of culture, a year long celebration of arts, heritage and community which has left a lasting cultural legacy and builds on our already vibrant museum and theatre scene.
