Norah Rami
Norah Rami studies English and Political Science with a concentration in Literary Theory and Political Theory and a minor in History. The editor-in-chief of 34th Street Magazine, Norah is passionate about people-centered journalism and all things arts and culture. Her writing can be found in The Penn Political Review, Chalkbeat, The 74, Philadelphia Citizen, Dirt, The Philadelphia Obituary Project, Teen Vogue, Scroll.in and the New York Times. Her reporting on the Supreme Court was featured on NPR’s Here and Now.
Norah was a Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting Fellow, traveling to India to report on literary markets. This year, she has been named an Andrea Mitchell Fellow for her senior thesis research on AI image regulation. She has also contributed to research at the Penn Computational Social Science Lab. Norah has worked as a tutor at the Marks Family Writing Center for the past three years and loves discussing her philosophy of editing whenever given the chance. Norah will spend one year studying Media Governance at the London School of Economics and then complete an MPhil in Socio-Legal research at Oxford.
