Mark Jbeily will graduate from the Plan II Honors Program at the University of Texas at Austin. Having served as Battalion Commander of the University of Texas Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps, Mark will commission as an officer in the U.S. Navy and has been selected for naval aviation training. Mark worked in The White House Office of Cabinet Affairs and the Texas Governor's Office of Homeland Security where he observed national security policymaking. Fluent in Arabic, Mark's academic interests include civil-military relations, strategic planning, and security studies focusing on the Middle East and North Africa. As a Marshall Scholar, Mark will study International Relations at Oxford.
