Kristian Gubsch is a graduate of Washington State University with a degree in chemical engineering. During his undergraduate career, he worked on multiple research projects in the areas of remote air quality sensing, CO2 utilization, and environmental metabolomics. Because of his commitment to undergraduate research, he was named a 2018 Hollings scholar and 2019 Goldwater scholar. Outside of his research, he was involved on campus in entrepreneurial activities, intramural sports, the Honors College, and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. As a Marshall scholar, he will pursue an MSc in Energy and Environmental Engineering at the University of Sheffield.
