Julie graduated from Duke University with majors in Neuroscience and French and a minor in Chemistry. At Duke, she researched pediatric epilepsy at Duke Children’s Hospital, founded a mentoring program for neurosceince undergraduates, and wrote her senior thesis on representations of epilepsy in French literature. She has also performed research in pediatric neurology through two highly competitive summer research programs at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Julie has published five peer-reviewed articles, for three of which she is the first author. As a Marshall Scholar, Julie will attend Cambridge University where she will pursue a PhD in Pediatrics.
