David Shimer of Chappaqua, New York, holds a BA and MA in History from Yale University. David has published articles with The New York Times from five countries; his reporting on foreign affairs has also appeared in the New Yorker and Foreign Affairs. He was the Editor in Chief of the Yale Daily News, America's oldest college daily newspaper, and a Harry S. Truman Scholar. Before that, he interned for Hillary Clinton's campaign policy and debate preparation teams. He will use his Marshall Scholarship to pursue a DPhil in International Relations at the University of Oxford.
