Yareqzy Munoz is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where she studied Urban Studies, Latin American and Latinx Studies, and Hispanic Studies. As a Civic Scholar, Yareqzy was introduced to Penn's Civic House and became a Community Partner Liaison, a position that allowed her to work with community organizations throughout Philadelphia but most closely with Moder Patshala—a Bangladeshi-American educational center in West Philly. Yareqzy is interested in the political economy and immigration studies, all with a focus in Latin America. During her first year, Yareqzy will study International Development: Poverty, Inequality, and Development at the University of Manchester.
