Thomas Sweeney

Thomas Sweeney graduated from Indiana University with degrees in economics, mathematics, statistics, and philosophy. His primary research focuses are economic inequality and modeling household heterogeneity. Over two years, he performed research on wealth inequality at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, joining as author on multiple papers. At IU, he was the student body treasurer and opinion editor for the Indiana Daily Student, an award-winning independent newspaper. He cofounded his university’s LGBTQ+ Mentorship Program, showing his passion for supporting underrepresented groups in society. As a Marshall Scholar, Thomas will study econometrics at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
