Talya Klinger studied Physics with a minor in Mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her research at the MIT Kavli Institute for Astrophysics and Space Research investigates the effect of event horizon phenomena on gravitational wave emissions. As a Marshall Scholar, she will read for an MASt in Applied Mathematics followed by an MSc in Physics at the University of Cambridge. A dedicated science educator, she plans to return to the US for her PhD and pursue a career at the forefront of both theoretical astrophysics and science writing.
