Raised in Wayne, Pennsylvania, Ryan Henrici is studying Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Pennsylvania State University. As a Goldwater and Astronaut Scholar, Ryan conducts structural biology research under Song Tan focusing on gene regulation in cancer. He recently published his thesis work as a second author in Nature. Outside of the lab, Ryan is involved in peer mentoring and volunteers for the Penn State Dance MaraTHON, the largest student-run philanthropy in the world. With the Marshall Scholarship, Ryan will study Malaria and pursue a degree in Infectious and Tropical Diseases at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
