Meredith Paker, from Madison, Wisconsin, will graduate from the University of Georgia with an Honors degree in Economics and a minor in Mathematics. She has conducted research on U.S. prescription drug use, focusing on the prevalence and impact of off-label prescribing. As a UGA Foundation Fellow, she has studied in Oxford and Tanzania, summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2014. She also leads a local Girl Scout troop and DJs at her campus radio station. Meredith will return to Oxford as a Marshall Scholar to pursue an MPhil in Economic and Social History, where she will research the development of economic theory.
