Mallika graduated in May 2019 from Agnes Scott College with a double major in Political Science and Philosophy.
During Mallika's academic career, she has taken an active interest in promoting International Relations, Human Rights and diversity through her research. Her academic research has explored Latin America's economic relationship with the US and other countries while her senior thesis explored the roles of democratic peace and human rights abuses in the Falkland Island conflict. She has supported advocacy work on behalf of refugees and asylum seekers from Central America while interning at Amnesty International USA and also served as an intern at CARE USA, where she conducted research in support of women in migration contexts.
In her first year in the UK she will pursue an MLitt in Moral, Political and Legal Philosophy at the University of St Andrews.
