Lucia Brunel, from Austin, TX, will graduate from Northwestern University with a BS/MS in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Italian. She is a Goldwater Scholar and researches the use of polymers for improved drug delivery and tissue engineering. She serves as president of the Northwestern University chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and VP of the Society of Women Engineers. Lucia will pursue an MPhil in Materials Science at the University of Cambridge.
