Originally from Seattle, Washington, Josephine Cooke initially moved to New York City to pursue dance. However, she was also interested in studying the brain; this led her to Queens College, CUNY, where she majors in Psychology and Neuroscience. As an honours student and LSAMP scholar, Josephine is currently completing a thesis examining the activity of neural circuits during learning. She plans to complete a PhD at Imperial College London, focusing on how dance therapy can be used to rehabilitate neurological disorders. Upon returning to the US, she plans to open a clinic dedicated to arts therapy and neurorehabilitation.
