Greta majored in Civil Engineering and Engineering and Public Policy, passionate about uplifting indigenous voices in solution-making through social justice and research. Her undergraduate research evaluated water infrastructure equity in low-income communities, and she worked with Carnegie Mellon's Mechanical and AI Lab to design lower-energy desalination technologies. She volunteers with the Carnegie Mellon Community Garden, has developed events that empower indigenous community members on campus, and has worked extensively with grassroots nonprofits, like Rhode Island's Save the Bay, to promote environmental preservation and community action. She is pursuing an MSc in Environment and International Development at The University of East Anglia (UEA), hoping to become involved with UEA's Water Security Research Center.
