Born in Chile and raised in New York, Emma San Martin is a mechanical engineer minoring in aeronautics. She has published to the American Society of Biomechanics and American Society of Mechanical Engineers and holds a U.S. Patent Pending for a drone carburetor de-icing device. Currently, she is developing systems for modeling urban wind profiles and rotor slipstream interference. Soon to commission as a Military Intelligence officer, Emma will pursue graduate studies in aerospace. She hopes that her service experience will empower research and outreach, solve long-standing technological problems, support the national defense, and foster the UK-US military intelligence relationship.
