Emma Oosterhous graduated with distinction from the University of Colorado Boulder with a BA in Spanish and a minor in Technology, Arts, and Media. She studied Argentine literature and history in Rosario, Argentina and, as a Norlin Scholar, researched neo-gothic Argentine comics. However, Emma is primarily a comic artist and LGBTQ activist with a focus on representation in young adult and children’s media. Her current work includes her webcomic “Alphabet Soup” and an in-progress graphic novel exploring the cyclical nature of trauma through a queer lens. She will attend the University of Dundee to pursue an MDes in Comics and Graphic Novels.
