David Elitzer

David Elitzer is from New York City and will graduate from Brown University with a BA in Archaeology. He has worked at the intersection of museums, foreign affairs, and cultural heritage through jobs and internships at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Rhode Island School of Design Museum, the U.S. Army, International Journal of Cultural Property, and a U.S. State Department supported project that monitors cultural heritage destruction in Iraq and Syria. As a Marshall Scholar, David will study both foreign policy and cultural heritage at UCL in order to investigate the role of cultural heritage in military and political conflicts.
