Chris Birmingham, hailing from Tacoma, WA, will graduate from Gonzaga University with an Honors degree in Electrical Engineering. He has conducted research at Georgia Tech with the Healthcare Robotics Lab using robots to assist the disabled and at Boeing developing advanced automated manufacturing techniques. Invited as a junior to both the Tau Beta Pi and Alpha Sigma Nu honor societies, he is the President of the Robotics Club and Vice-Chair of the student IEEE chapter at Gonzaga. At the University of Bristol, he plans to pursue a PhD in Robotics while continuing his research in Assistive Robotics.
