Brent Strong studied physiology and epidemiology at Michigan State University on an Alumni Distinguished Scholarship covering the full cost of attendance. He conducted research on sex differences in acute stroke, the conduct of randomized controlled trials, and transitional care for stroke patients. Outside of research, Brent worked with the Refugee Development Center, served as a Dean’s Research Scholar in the College of Natural Science, and spent one year in Croatia and Slovenia as a volunteer. Brent will study for the MSc in Statistics at the University of Glasgow and hopes to continue his research on the epidemiology of stroke.
