Andrew is a graduate of Princeton University interested in mathematical problems arising from plasma physics, especially those pertinent to nuclear fusion energy. He was a 2015 Goldwater Scholar and has since performed research in plasma physics at the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, the Rudolf Peierls Centre for Theoretical Physics, and the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory. Andrew has also written and performed poetry as president of Ellipses Slam Poetry; he is interested in the integration of the humanities into scientific education. He plans to pursue an MSc in Mathematical and Theoretical Physics at Oxford followed by an MSc in Applied Math at Imperial College London.
