Abraham Axler is from New York City. He will graduate from the University of Virginia in 2017 as a Jefferson Scholar, with a degree in Government and Foreign Affairs Honours. His thesis focused on voter perceptions of transgender candidates for public office. Out of the classroom, he served as Student Body President, Class President, and as a moderator for Sustained Dialogue. After completing his studies in the UK, he intends to return to New York City to work on issues of welfare particularly special education and disability.  Abraham plans to study Politics and Communication at LSE.
